I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
