Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
